Shipping & Handling Info

Modern Bungalow ships many of the items seen on our web site directly from our store in Denver and we pack very carefully. We usually use FedEx or UPS Ground, but we reserve the right to use USPS. Items that we do not stock, custom made items and bulky or heavy items are usually drop shipped directly from the maker to the customer. The customer is responsible for providing a delivery address where a delivery confirmation signature can be recorded. For large items, delivering your order to a commercial location that has a loading dock is almost always less expensive than residential delivery. Regardless of delivery method... PLEASE open and inspect all items immediately, as there is usually only a 2-3 day window of time to file a damage claim with delivery companies.

Freight Deliveries

Items requiring Freight Delivery are those that are too heavy or bulky for UPS or FedEx delivery trucks. All furniture and even some large lighting fixtures are in this category. The shipment costs are quoted by reputable freight shippers based on the place of origin and your exact delivery destination. Please contact Modern Bungalow if you are interested in ordering large items such as furniture, and we will get a shipping quote for you prior to any order being placed. Someone MUST be present to accept, unpack and inspect freight delivered items while the driver is still present. Failure to do so will severely limit your (and our) ability to resolve the issue if you do happen to have a problem or damage claim.

International Shipping

Modern Bungalow generally does not ship internationally, with the occasional exception of Canada. Our Free Shipping offer applies only to the 48 contiguous United States. If you want items delivered to a country other than the USA, contact us PRIOR to placing your order to make sure that we can accommodate your request.

In-Store Pick Up

If you live in or near Denver, CO, you may have the option of picking up your item at our store. In some cases with large or Freight shipments, shipping costs may still apply even though no shipping cost is added to your order during Check Out. We will contact you prior to fulfilling your order if this is the case. In-Store pick up is subject to local sales tax (7.62%). Click on In-Store Pick Up during the Check Out process.
